🎨 Which do I choose: Match Video Style or Keep Uploaded Look?

When you upload your own image for a character, object, or location during casting, Atlabs asks whether to Match Video Style or Keep Uploaded Look. Picking the wrong one is one of the most common reasons a character looks different than expected; here's the rule.

The rule

• Choose Keep Uploaded Look if your uploaded image is already in the same visual style as your video; for example, it's already a 3D cartoon render and your video is also a 3D cartoon. Atlabs won't change your image at all.
• Choose Match Video Style only if your upload needs converting; for example, you're uploading a real photo of yourself, but your video's visual style is 3D cartoon. Atlabs converts it into that style.

🚨 Choosing Match Video Style on an image already in the correct style can noticeably alter the character, since it still runs a full style-conversion pass. If a character came out looking different than what you uploaded, this is the first thing to check.

Where to find it

1. During any workflow's casting step, upload your own image for a character, object, or location. You can also add a character after the story is generated and follow the same steps in the storyboard.
2. You'll be prompted to choose Match Video Style or Keep Uploaded Look.
3. Apply the rule above based on whether your upload already matches your video's style.

💡 Tip: This same choice appears whenever you add a new character mid-project too, not just during initial casting.
