Long music videos and whole albums with one main character
Atlabs storyboards and directs a full-length music video from your song, and keeps the same singer or main character in every shot. It reads the song's mood, genre and tempo, writes a concept with a storyline, and builds a scene for each section. For an album, you save the main character once and reuse it in a video for every track.
Try it here: https://app.atlabs.ai/create/music-video
Best for: four-minute songs, concept albums, AI albums made in Suno or Mureka, and artists who want one recurring character across a release.
A full-length video for one song
Step 1: Music
- Open Workflows → Music Video. Click Upload your music track and add an .mp3 or .wav file up to 200MB. You can also paste a Suno or SoundCloud link and click Extract Music, or pick one of the Sample Music Files.
- No song yet? Make one with Generate Music (app.atlabs.ai/music).
Made your song on Suno?
- Open your song in Suno.
- Click Unlock Audio.
- Click Download Audio and upload the file here.
Once the audio is unlocked, you can also paste the Suno song link directly.

- In Trim your track, select the part of the song to use. Only the selected part is used in your video.
- Choose the Video type: Narrative (No Lip Sync, a story told across cinematic scenes) or Performance (Lip Sync, Premium, a lip-synced performance video of the artist).
- Optional: in the Storyline box, describe the story you want and introduce your cast. Leave it blank and Atlabs writes one from your track. Click Confirm.
- For a full-length video, keep the whole song selected rather than trimming to the best part.

- Atlabs analyses the track and shows what it heard: Language, Mood, Genre and BPM. If anything is wrong, click the pencil icon on that card and correct it before you move on.

Step 2: Style
- Pick the Aspect Ratio: 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube, or 1:1.
- Pick the Video Style: AI Video (Recommended) or AI Storyboard (still images).
- Pick a Visual Style from the grid.

Step 3: Concepts
- Under Choose your concept, Atlabs shows several concepts generated from your song's tempo, mood and genre, each with a title, a short story and preview frames.
- Select one, or click the pencil icon on a concept to edit it. To write your own, click Describe your concept. Pick the concept whose storyline you like, or edit it: who the main character is, where it happens, and how it ends.

Step 4: Cast
- Atlabs generates the characters, objects and locations for your video. Review, swap or delete them: everything on this screen appears in your final video. Use Add Character or Add Object to add more.

For each character, open its card and choose how to set it up:
- AI-generated character (Create New): Atlabs fills in the details, such as name, age, gender, ethnicity, Visual Appearance, clothing and voice. Change anything you want and click Save. The more detail you give in Visual Appearance, the more consistent the character looks in every scene. Also add the character's height in Visual Appearance, for example "about 97 cm tall". Height keeps the character's proportions right next to other characters and objects, whether it is a human, an animal or any other character.
- Character Library: pick a character you made before, or one of the ready-made actors.
- Upload your own image: upload a reference image of your character, then choose Match Video Style or Keep Uploaded Look:
- Match Video Style converts your image into the video's visual style. Use it when your image is a real photo or a different art style from your video.
- Keep Uploaded Look uses your image as it is. Use it when your image is already in the same visual style as your video.
This choice keeps the uploaded character consistent with the visual style of the video.

For this video:
- Lock the main character: give the singer or hero a detailed Visual Appearance and outfit with Create New, or upload a photo. Detailed descriptions keep the face, hair and clothes the same in every shot.
Locations and objects work the same way: create them with AI, pick them from the library, or upload your own image.
Finalise Video
- Click Finalise Video. In How would you like to start?, choose:
- Storyboard: a still image for every scene, with no motion or lip sync yet.
- Video Preview: the first 25 seconds with full motion (and lip sync where your video has it).
- Full Video: every scene with complete motion (and lip sync where your video has it).
- Each option shows its credit cost. Click Generate. Choose Storyboard, so you can read the whole video like a director's storyboard before any animation.
- You can close the window once generation starts. Your video keeps generating and appears in My Stories.

If you chose Storyboard: add motion to all scenes
This step is only for the Storyboard option, which gives still images with no motion yet. If you chose Video Preview, only the first 25 seconds are generated: click Select Scenes to Generate Video under the preview to finish the rest. If you chose Full Video, motion and lip sync are already done, so you can skip this step.
- Check every still image first and fix any scene in its Image tab. A still image is much cheaper to fix than a scene with motion.
- Under the video preview on the right, click Select Scenes to Generate Motion.

- Keep Select All Shots ticked, or untick it and pick only the shots you want.
- Pick a Video Model (or keep Automatic) and a Resolution, then click Generate Motion. Scenes with a tagged speaking character get lip sync in the same pass.

Videos for a whole album
- Make the first song's video as above. Your main character is saved to the Character Library.
- For every other track, start a new Music Video project and pick the same visual style at Step 2: Style.
- Choose a concept per song at Step 3: Concepts. The character stays the same, and the story changes with each track.
- At Step 4: Cast, click the main character card and pick it from the Character Library tab.

Working through the album one track after another, with the same style and character, is the fastest route. Each video only needs a concept choice and a quick storyboard check.
Good to know
- Long videos cost more credits: about 80 to 90 per minute without lip sync, and 120 to 130 with lip sync.
- Maximum video length depends on your plan (Lite 2 minutes, Pro 5, Plus 10, Max 20). Music Video needs Pro or higher. See Long videos and full animated episodes.
- If the character looks different in one scene, click Characters in the storyboard top bar to reapply consistency.

Set the singer up in detail at step 4 (Cast), or upload a photo, then check the storyboard before adding motion.
Can every song on my album have the same main character?
