How do I make an AI Animated Video?

Animated Video turns any text prompt or script into a fully animated video with AI-generated characters, scenes, and motion. It uses the same 3-step wizard as other Atlabs workflows; the difference is that the visual style defaults to animation, giving you stylized output like 3D Cartoon, Flat 2D Modern, Anime, or Storyboard instead of realistic visuals.

Step 1: Enter you Script

Write or paste your script, or type a prompt and use the AI Script Writer to generate one. You can also pick from Suggested Scripts for inspiration - these rotate when you click the refresh icon.
Incase, you have a screenplay - you can paste it right here and Atlabs will automatically 'Take you to Screenplay' page and fill up your data.
Set your language from the dropdown and click Next.

Step 2: Set the Style

• Select the Aspect Ratio depending on where you are planning to post it.
• Choose the Video Style: Whether you want an AI Video or you would like to generate the storyboard with the still images or upload later (generates a black story with scenes)

Step 3: Finalise the Cast

• You will see characters and objects extracted from your script/screenplay.
• If you would like AI generated character, click and save the character with already populated data (which is editable).
• You can also, upload your own character.

This step is crucial as it help maintain the character consistency throught the storyboard visuals and the video.

Final Step: Finalise Video

Once, all the 4-steps are setup. You can click on the 'finalise Video' option.

1. You can generate 'Storyboard' - still images/visuals for the animated video first. (Then, scene-by-scene generate motions and lip-syncs)
2. You can choose 'Preview Video' - generate the first 25 seconds with full motion & lip-sync. (To check if this aligns with your vision)
3. Generate the Full Video with everything end-to-end. (Visuals, Motions, Lip-syncs)

Tips

• Animated Video is ideal for educational content, explainers, kids' content, and storytelling where realistic visuals aren't needed.
• Characters are rendered in the animation style you choose or chosen for the workflow directly - 3D Cartoon gives the most expressive results, while Flat 2D Modern works well for clean, corporate-friendly animation.
• Use Generate Storyboard first to preview how your characters and scenes look before committing to full generation.
