Training, onboarding and safety videos with one animated host
Atlabs turns training material into animated videos with one host who appears in every module. Paste the script, or the text from your slides, into the Explainer Video workflow, create your host once, and Atlabs builds scenario scenes with narration in a clean style such as Flat 2D Modern. Safety, compliance and onboarding content becomes short scenes of people doing the task right, instead of a deck of slides.

Best for: HR and L&D teams, safety and compliance trainers, onboarding programmes, and operations teams with procedures to teach.
Open Explainer Video from the Atlabs home page: click the Explainer Video card. It has four steps: Script, Style, Cast and Screenplay.

Step 1: Script
- Open Explainer Video (the Explainer Video card on the Atlabs home page). Paste your script, or describe what you want to explain and click AI Script Writer. You can also start from a Suggested Topics card.
- Set the language from the dropdown under the box.

- Optional: click the settings icon next to the language to open Scene Pace Settings. Slow changes scene every 15 to 20 words, Medium every 10 to 15, and Fast every 5 to 10.
- Click Continue.

Step 2: Style
- Choose the aspect ratio and a visual style. Choose 16:9 for an LMS or a meeting screen. Flat 2D Modern gives a clean look that suits workplace training.
- Click Continue.
Step 3: Cast
- Choose the Narrator Voice.
- Atlabs lists the characters and locations it found in your script. Click Generate All, open a card to set it up, or delete a card with its bin icon. Create your host, for example "Sam, warehouse safety lead, yellow hi-vis vest, hard hat", and the locations, such as the warehouse floor or the reception desk.

For each character, open its card and choose how to set it up:
- AI-generated character (Create New): Atlabs fills in the details, such as name, age, gender, ethnicity, Visual Appearance, clothing and voice. Change anything you want and click Save. The more detail you give in Visual Appearance, the more consistent the character looks in every scene. Also add the character's height in Visual Appearance, for example "about 97 cm tall". Height keeps the character's proportions right next to other characters and objects, whether it is a human, an animal or any other character.
- Character Library: pick a character you made before, or one of the ready-made actors.
- Upload your own image: upload a reference image of your character, then choose Match Video Style or Keep Uploaded Look:
- Match Video Style converts your image into the video's visual style. Use it when your image is a real photo or a different art style from your video.
- Keep Uploaded Look uses your image as it is. Use it when your image is already in the same visual style as your video.
This choice keeps the uploaded character consistent with the visual style of the video.

Locations and objects work the same way: create them with AI, pick them from the library, or upload your own image.
- Click Continue.
Step 4: Screenplay
- Check each scene's Location Type, Location and Time of Day, and every SHOT and DIALOGUE line.
- Edit any step that is not exactly how your procedure works.
- Click Finalise.

Finalise
- In How would you like to start?, choose:
- Storyboard: a still image for every scene, with no motion or lip sync yet.
- Video Preview: the first 25 seconds with full motion (and lip sync where your video has it).
- Full Video: every scene with complete motion (and lip sync where your video has it).
- Each option shows its credit cost. Click Generate. Generate a Storyboard first, then add motion or generate the full video.

The same host in every module
Your host is saved to the Character Library. For module 2 onwards, start a new Explainer Video and, at Step 3: Cast, open the host's card and pick it from the Character Library tab. Keep the same style for the whole course.
Writing scenario scenes
- Show the right way and the wrong way in separate scenes: "Sam lifts with a bent back. Ouch." then "Sam bends his knees and keeps the box close."
- Name the hazard and the rule in one line of narration per scene.
- Keep each module short. One procedure per video is easier to remember.
Good to know
- For a talking presenter instead of an animated host, see How do I make a UGC Avatar video?
- Translate in the storyboard's three-dot menu makes each module in other languages for multilingual teams.
- Have a safety or compliance owner review every video before release.
