Settings tab (transitions & timing)

⚙️ How do I use the Scene Settings tab (transitions & timing)?

The Settings tab contains scene-level controls like duration, transitions, and the option to delete a scene. Use it to fine-tune timing and manage scene structure.
Scene-level configuration: visual fit, background, transitions, timing, image animations, and scene management.

Scene settings you can change

  • Scene timeline strip: add ➕, duplicate, navigate ← →, delete 🗑
  • Visual Fit: Cover (fills the frame) and other fit options
  • Background: None / Gradient / Color / Blur
  • Transition: No Transition dropdown (choose transition style between scenes)

  • Scene End Pause: 0 seconds default (add a hold at the end of the scene)
  • Delete Scene: permanently removes this scene

Tips
Here are some tips to get the best results:

  • Duplicate scenes from the timeline strip to reuse a visual with different narration
  • Scene End Pause is useful for dramatic beats - adds a moment of stillness
  • Use a blurred background for portrait scenes with negative space around the subject
