How do I change a character's voice after generating my video?

You can change a character's voice at any point after your video is generated, without starting over. Open Characters in your storyboard, pick a new voice from the library, and Atlabs regenerates the voice in every scene where that character speaks.

${color}[rgb(var(--black))](Steps to Change the Voice)

  1. Open your video from My Stories to land on the Storyboard.
  2. Click Characters in the top bar.

  1. Open the character whose voice you want to change.

  1. Go to Actor Voice and choose a new voice from the voice library.

  1. Click Save.

  1. Atlabs shows how many scenes need regenerating, based on that character's dialogue or narration.
  2. Click Regenerate. The voice regenerates in all those scenes.

📌 Good to Know

  • It applies to the whole video. The new voice replaces the old one in every scene where that character has dialogue or narration, so the character sounds the same throughout.
  • Only one scene to change? Open that scene, go to the Voiceover tab, change the Speaking Character or pick a different voice, and regenerate just that scene. See AI Voiceover.
  • Changing the narrator instead? Use Mirror Voice → Sync Voice in the Voiceover tab to keep one narrator voice across all scenes.

🚨 If a scene still plays the old voice, open its Voiceover tab and check that the Speaking Character is set to the character you just updated.
