# Which AI model should I use?

Atlabs gives you many top-tier AI models in one place, so you never manage separate accounts or API keys. The trick isn't finding "the best" model; there isn't one. Each model is best at a different job. This guide matches the model to what you're trying to make: **video**, **images**, and **lip sync**. You can always switch models with a click; see [How do I switch AI models in a workflow?]

💡 **Rule of thumb:** draft cheap, finish rich. Explore an idea on a fast, low-cost model, then re-run your favourite scenes on a higher-quality one.

## Video models

| Model | Best for | Good to know |
| **Kling 3.0** | Cinematic hero shots, multi-shot storytelling, branded content, on-screen text and logos | Sharpest detail, camera-motion control, strong character consistency; higher cost, slower |
| **Kling 3.0 Pro** | The highest-quality Kling tier, premium cinematic and final hero shots | Enhanced cinematic quality and refined motion; the top tier for cost and quality |
| **Kling 2.6** | Everyday social and short-form, talking characters, close-up motion | Generates audio in one pass; faster and cheaper, a great default |
| **Google Veo 3.1** | Photorealism, realistic talking video, wide establishing shots | Native audio with lip-synced dialogue; also powers Image to Video |
| **Seedance 2.0** | Building from your own references, music-synced videos, action and stylized/anime | Accepts multiple image, video, and audio references; can sync motion to a music beat |
| **Hailuo 2.3** | Fast, budget, high-volume work; anime and stylized looks | Very fast and cheap; shorter clips; strong physics |
| **Wan 2.6** | Budget-friendly cinematic and high-volume testing | Strong price-to-quality |
| **Runway** | Image-to-video and stylized transforms | Cinematic look; creative editing |

**Quick picks by goal:**
* Realistic talking person → **Veo 3.1**
* Cinematic, multi-shot, or branded film → **Kling 3.0** (or **Kling 3.0 Pro** for final hero shots)
* Fast, cheap social clips → **Kling 2.6** or **Hailuo 2.3**
* Anime, stylized, or kids' content → **Hailuo 2.3** or **Seedance 2.0**
* Music video synced to the beat → **Seedance 2.0**
* Build a scene from your own images, clips, or audio → **Seedance 2.0**
* Action or physics-heavy motion → **Seedance 2.0** or **Hailuo 2.3**

## Image models (Create Image)

| Model | Best for | Good to know |
| **Flux 2 Pro** | Portrait photorealism, product and brand shots, safe all-round default | Strong reference control and real-world lighting |
| **Imagen 4** | The most photorealistic look, people, landscapes, hero images | Reads like a real photo; limited for image-to-image edits |
| **Nano Banana 2** | Recurring characters and mascots, editing, combining references, legible text | Google's Gemini image model; excellent character consistency across images |
| **Nano Banana Pro** | Highest-fidelity, 4K character and hero work | Preserves fine texture; reach for it when the image is the final product |
| **Nano Banana Lite** | Fast, low-cost, character-consistent drafts | The lightest of the three, for quick iteration |
| **Seedream 5** | Text rendering, 4K, product shots, high-volume batches | Fast and cheap at scale; strong on legible in-image text |
| **Gemini Omni Flash** | Fast multimodal image generation and edits | `[EDITOR: confirm exact capabilities and where it appears]` |
| **Z-Image Turbo** | Fast, cheap drafts, thumbnails, high-volume batches | Generates in about a second, ideal for iteration |

**Quick picks by goal:**
* The same character across many images → **Nano Banana 2** (or **Flux 2 Pro**)
* Highest-fidelity or 4K hero image → **Nano Banana Pro** or **Imagen 4**
* Legible text inside an image → **Seedream 5** (or **Nano Banana 2**)
* Clean product or brand shot → **Flux 2 Pro** or **Seedream 5**
* Lots of quick variations to choose from → **Z-Image Turbo** or **Nano Banana Lite**

💡 **Tip:** Generate a still in **Create Image** first, then animate it in **Image to Video** or **Motion Control**. A strong starting frame makes for a stronger video.

> The Create Image dropdown may include still more options (e.g. Flux Kontext for surgical prompt-based edits, GPT Image, Ideogram for text-heavy designs, older Flux/SDXL). If those are live, slot them into the table. Also confirm where **Gemini Omni Flash** belongs, image generation, editing, or a multimodal tool, and which surfaces expose the Nano Banana 2 / Lite / Pro tiers.

## Lip-sync models

| Model | Best for | Good to know |
| **Sync 2.0** | Re-dubbing real footage, multilingual dubbing, tricky angles and close-ups | Understands the whole shot; preserves the speaker's style |
| **Omnihuman** | Film-grade expressive talking humans from a photo; full-body motion, gestures, singing | Highest fidelity; also handles cartoon and anime |
| **Hedra** | Animating a still portrait or character to speak | Great for a specific uploaded face or illustration; expressive |
| **Kling Lip Sync** | Lip-syncing Atlabs-generated clips | Tuned for AI-generated video; balanced speed and quality |
| **Latent Sync** | Quick, short clips (roughly under 3 seconds) | Lightweight and cheapest; use for short snippets |

**Quick picks by goal:**
* Re-dub an existing video → **Sync 2.0**
* Make a photo talk, with maximum realism and expression → **Omnihuman** or **Hedra**
* Sync a character inside an Atlabs-generated scene → **Kling Lip Sync**
* A short clip on a tight budget → **Latent Sync**
* Singing or a full-body performance → **Omnihuman**

## Matching models to popular workflows
* **Personalized music video with your face** → realistic video (**Veo 3.1** or **Kling**), and **Omnihuman** or **Hedra** for lip sync. See [How do I make a personalized music video with my face (and multiple performers)?]
* **Kids' rhyme and educational videos** → **Hailuo 2.3** or **Seedance 2.0** for a bright animated look, and **Nano Banana** to keep a mascot consistent. See [How do I make kids' rhyme and educational videos?]
* **Faith and devotional videos** → **Kling 3.0** or **Veo 3.1** for calm, cinematic realism. See [How do I make faith and devotional videos (Christian, Islamic, Hindu, and more)?]
* **UGC product ads** → **Kling 3.0** for polished, text-legible ad shots; **Seedance 2.0** if you're compositing your product from reference images.

## A few things worth knowing
* **Not every model appears in every tool.** Video models live in the **Motion** tab and in **Image to Video**; image models are in **Create Image**; lip-sync models are in **Lip Sync**. The dropdown in each tool shows what's available there.
* **Some models are gated by plan.** Higher-tier models may require a paid plan.
* **Cost varies by model, length, and resolution**, and you always see the live estimate before you generate. See [How do credits work on Atlabs?]
