Script to Video - Full Workflow

📝 Script to Video: Full Workflow

Script to Video is a 3-step guided workflow that turns any written script into a fully produced video with consistent characters, voiceover, and visuals across all scenes.

Go to Workflows → Script to Video to begin.

  • Step 1 is adding your script: paste it directly, use the AI Script Writer, or pick from suggested scripts. Each paragraph in your script becomes one scene.
  • Step 2 is setting your style: choose aspect ratio, video type (AI Video, Storyboard, Stock, or Upload), and visual style.
  • Step 3 is finalizing the cast: define the narrator's voice, create characters with detailed descriptions, and set their voices.

💡 Tip: Each paragraph maps to one scene. Break your script into clear paragraphs for the best results.

📝  Script to Video: Adding Your Script

In Step 1, you have several options for adding your script:

  • You can paste or type directly into the text box.
  • Upload a screenplay file using the "Add your screenplay" tab.
  • Use the AI Script Writer to generate a script from an idea, or
  • Click any Suggested Script card below the input area as a starting point.

Set the language from the dropdown at the bottom left, then click Next. If your scenes don't match your script as expected, make sure each distinct idea has its own paragraph. The AI Script Writer output can be refined by adding context about tone, genre, and audience.

🎨  Script to Video: Setting Style

In Step 2, you control how your video looks.

  • Select an aspect ratio (9:16, 16:9, or 1:1 with platform icons shown for each).
  • Choose a video style: AI Video (recommended for the most creative output), AI Storyboard, Stock Videos (credit-efficient for factual content), or Upload your own media.
  • Select a visual style from the grid. Toggle Custom Styles to define your own visual direction beyond the presets.

👥  Script to Video: Finalizing Cast

In Step 3, define the narrator voice and create characters that appear consistently throughout the video.

  • Select a Country Accent and Narrator Voice from the dropdowns.
  • For each auto-detected character, click "Click to Edit" and fill in details: name, age, gender, ethnicity, a detailed visual appearance description (hair, face, build), clothing, and actor voice settings.
  • You can create new characters from scratch, pick from the Characters Library, or
  • Upload a reference image of your character and use it throughout the video.

The more detail you provide in Visual Appearance, the more consistent the character will look across scenes. Check the credit cost on the Generate button before confirming.

💳  Script to Video: Generate Options & Credit Costs

Before generating, click the dropdown on the Generate Video button to choose from four output types. Generate Video produces the full video at full cost. Generate Storyboard creates a scene preview at a fraction of the cost. Generate Stock Video uses stock footage. Generate Blank Project gives you full manual control over every scene. Always use Storyboard first to validate scene structure.

📹  Script to Video: Storyboard Output

After generating, Atlabs crafts your characters first, then builds scenes around them. Progress is shown as a percentage with status messages like "Crafting your characters..." Each script paragraph becomes a scene with your defined character appearing consistently.

The storyboard has the same layout as Idea to Video — Edit Video, Export, Translate, Music, Captions, and Characters in the top bar. Motion generates automatically in the background incase, you opted for 'Generate Video' option.

If a character looks different across scenes, click Characters in the top bar to reapply consistency. If a scene doesn't match a script paragraph, edit the image prompt in the Visual tab.
