# Moral stories and good-habit cartoon series for kids

Atlabs turns a moral story, a good-habits lesson, or a simple science topic into an animated cartoon episode, keeping the same characters in every episode. You paste a short script or describe the lesson; Atlabs writes the screenplay and builds the scenes, and your cast is saved for the next episode.

Try it here: [https://app.atlabs.ai/create/animated-video](https://app.atlabs.ai/create/animated-video)

Best for: moral story channels, good-habits and hygiene lessons, simple science explainers for children, and teachers building a class series.

## Before you start

- A script or an idea. A short moral story works well. One paragraph per scene works best.
- No script? Type the lesson, for example, "a rabbit learns to share his carrots with friends", and click AI Script Writer.

## Step 1: Script

- Open **Workflows → Animated Video**. Paste your script, or type a prompt and click **AI Script Writer**. You can also pick from the **Suggested Topics**.
- Set your language and the aspect ratio (16:9 or 9:16) from the dropdowns under the box, and click **Continue**.
- Animated Video has no style step. The visual style is animation by default.

## Step 2: Cast

- Choose the narrator's voice and accent from the dropdowns.
- Atlabs lists the characters, locations and objects found in your script. Review, swap or delete them: everything on this screen appears in your final video.

For each character, open its card and choose how to set it up:

- **AI-generated character (Create New):** Atlabs fills in the details, such as name, age, gender, ethnicity, Visual Appearance, clothing and voice. Change anything you want and click **Save**. The more detail you give in Visual Appearance, the more consistent the character looks in every scene. Also add the character's **height** in Visual Appearance, for example "about 97 cm tall". Height keeps the character's proportions right next to other characters and objects, whether it is a human, an animal or any other character.
- **Character Library:** pick a character you made before, or one of the ready-made actors.
- **Upload your own image:** upload a reference image of your character, then choose **Match Video Style** or **Keep Uploaded Look**:
  - **Match Video Style** converts your image into the video's visual style. Use it when your image is a real photo or a different art style from your video.
  - **Keep Uploaded Look** uses your image as it is. Use it when your image is already in the same visual style as your video.
This choice keeps the uploaded character consistent with the visual style of the video.

For this video:

- Create each character with a clear Visual Appearance, such as "small grey rabbit, floppy ears, green scarf", or upload your own drawings.

Locations and objects work the same way: create them with AI, pick them from the library, or upload your own image.

- Click **Continue**.

## Step 3: Screenplay

- Atlabs writes a detailed screenplay from steps 1 and 2. Review the location, visual shot and dialogue scene by scene; all of them can be edited.
- Characters are tagged with @ in each shot, so the right character appears in the right scene.
- Click **Finalise**.

## Finalise

- In **How would you like to start?**, choose:

- **Storyboard**: a still image for every scene, with no motion or lip sync yet.
- **Video Preview**: the first 25 seconds with full motion (and lip sync where your video has it).
- **Full Video**: every scene with complete motion (and lip sync where your video has it).

- Each option shows its credit cost. Click **Generate**. Storyboard lets you see every scene as a still image first.

## Polish and publish

- Add captions and background music from **Captions** and **Music** in the storyboard top bar.
- Click **Export**, then **Export Video**. When it is ready, click **Download Video**, or publish with **YouTube** under Other Actions.

## Making a series

For episode 2 onwards, start a new Animated Video project, paste the new story, and at **Step 2: Cast** pick your characters from the **Character Library** tab. This keeps your rabbit consistent from episode to episode. See [Kids series: the same characters in every episode](https://help.atlabs.ai/en-us/article/kids-series-the-same-characters-in-every-episode-sxk30g/).

## Script tips for moral and learning stories

- End each story with one clear line that states the lesson, said by the narrator or a character.
- Keep each scene to one action, such as "Rabbit hides the carrots" or "Friends look sad".
- For science topics, give each scene one fact and one picture, for example "Plants drink water through their roots".

## Good to know

- Animated Video has no style step. If you want to choose the visual style yourself, use Script to Video, which has a Style step.
- Check facts in science and health episodes before publishing. AI output can contain mistakes.
