# How do I top up or buy more credits?

## 💳 Top Up Your Credits

Running low on credits? You can buy a credit pack (a top-up) from your account at any time on any paid plan, without changing your plan or waiting for your next billing date. Top-up credits are added on top of your plan credits and are used only once your plan credits run out.

## Steps to top up

1. Click your **profile icon** in the top right and select **Account**.

2. Open the **Subscription** tab. You'll see your current plan and your **Credits Remaining**.
3. Click **\[Buy Credits:** https://app.atlabs.ai/account/subscription]
4. Choose a credit pack suitable for your project generation.
5. Complete the payment.
6. Your new balance appears in the top right of every screen.

💡 **Tip:** Your credit balance is always visible in the top right. Check it before starting a long video so you can top up first instead of mid-project.

## How top-up credits work

* **Who can buy them:** credit packs are available on all paid plans (Lite, Pro, Plus and Max).
* **When they are used:** plan credits are always spent first. Top-up credits kick in automatically once your plan credits run out.
* **Do they expire:** top-up credits roll over month to month for as long as you stay subscribed. Your balance and its expiry date are under **Account → Subscription**, next to **Credits Remaining**.
* **Discounts:** some plans include discounted credit packs. See [Pricing](https://www.atlabs.ai/pricing) for what your plan includes.
* **Invoice:** you receive it by email automatically after a successful purchase.


## 💬 Frequently Asked Questions

**Can I buy more credits without changing my plan?**
Yes. A credit pack adds credits to your account and leaves your plan and billing date as they are.

**Which credits are used first, plan or top-up?**
Plan credits first. Top-up credits are used automatically once plan credits run out. Where credits carry different expiry dates, the soonest to expire are spent first.

**Do top-up credits expire?**
They roll over month to month for as long as you stay subscribed. See [Do my credits expire?](https://help.atlabs.ai/en-us/article/do-my-credits-expire-eshd9q/) for the full rules.

**I bought credits, but my balance hasn't changed. What should I do?**
Refresh the page and check the balance in the top right. If it still hasn't updated, message us on live chat with your account email, and we'll fix it.

**I ran out of credits faster than I expected. Where did they go?**

**How many credits do I need for my video?**
