# Do my credits expire?

Credits on Atlabs have an expiry date. How long they last depends on whether they came from your **plan** or from a **top-up**, and on whether your subscription is still active.

You can see your current balance and its expiry date at any time under **Account → Subscription**, next to **Credits Remaining**.

### Plan credits

* Monthly plan credits **roll over** month to month for as long as you stay subscribed.
* Annual plan credits are issued **upfront for the full year** and roll over for as long as you stay subscribed.

### Top-up credits

* Plan credits are consumed **first**. Top-up credits are used automatically once your monthly plan credits run out.
* Top up credits **roll over** month to month for as long as you stay subscribed.

### Which credits are spent first

1. Monthly or annual **plan credits**
2. **Top-up** credits, automatically, once plan credits are exhausted

Where credits carry different expiry dates, the soonest-to-expire are spent first. 

### If your balance shows more than one expiry date

It's normal to see credits from different sources with different dates. If the dates don't look right — for example, credits expiring only days after you bought them — contact us on live chat and we'll check the account and correct it.

🚨 **Downgrading rather than cancelling:** if you want to pause your usage but keep your balance, downgrading to the lowest paid plan keeps your credits rolled over and active. Cancelling outright does not.

### Keeping track

* **Account → Subscription** shows your remaining balance and expiry date.
* The **Usage** table on the same page lists every generation and what it cost.
* Your credit balance is also visible in the top-right of every screen next to the coin icon.
