# Bible story cartoons for Sunday school

Atlabs turns a Bible story into an animated cartoon for Sunday school, with the same characters and places from the first scene to the last. Paste the story, such as Noah's Ark, David and Goliath or the Good Samaritan, and Atlabs writes a screenplay, builds the cast and storyboards every scene. For a Christian song, the Faith Music Video workflow turns the track into a matching animated video.

Try it here: [https://app.atlabs.ai/create/animated-video](https://app.atlabs.ai/create/animated-video)

Best for: Sunday school teachers, children's ministry leaders, church media teams, and Christian kids channels.

## Bible story cartoons (Animated Video)

### Step 1: Script

- Open **Workflows → Animated Video**. Paste your script, or type a prompt and click **AI Script Writer**. You can also pick from the **Suggested Topics**.
- Write the story in simple words for children, one paragraph per scene. No script? Type "the story of Jonah for 5-year-olds" and click AI Script Writer.
- Set your language and the aspect ratio (16:9 or 9:16) from the dropdowns under the box, and click **Continue**.
- There is no style step in Animated Video. The visual style is animation by default.

### Step 2: Cast

- Choose the narrator's voice and accent from the dropdowns.
- Atlabs lists the characters, locations and objects found in your script. Review, swap or delete them: everything on this screen appears in your final video.

For each character, open its card and choose how to set it up:

- **AI-generated character (Create New):** Atlabs fills in the details, such as name, age, gender, ethnicity, Visual Appearance, clothing and voice. Change anything you want and click **Save**. The more detail you give in Visual Appearance, the more consistent the character looks in every scene. Also add the character's **height** in Visual Appearance, for example "about 97 cm tall". Height keeps the character's proportions right next to other characters and objects, whether it is a human, an animal or any other character.
- **Character Library:** pick a character you made before, or one of the ready-made actors.
- **Upload your own image:** upload a reference image of your character, then choose **Match Video Style** or **Keep Uploaded Look**:
  - **Match Video Style** converts your image into the video's visual style. Use it when your image is a real photo or a different art style from your video.
  - **Keep Uploaded Look** uses your image as it is. Use it when your image is already in the same visual style as your video.
This choice keeps the uploaded character consistent with the visual style of the video.

For this video:

- Pick a warm narrator voice. Create each character with a clear Visual Appearance, for example "Noah, elderly man, white beard, brown robe". Set up the locations too, such as the ark or the city gate.

Locations and objects work the same way: create them with AI, pick them from the library, or upload your own image.

- Click **Continue**.

### Step 3: Screenplay

- Atlabs writes a detailed screenplay from steps 1 and 2. Review the location, visual shot and dialogue scene by scene; all of them can be edited.
- Characters are tagged with @ in each shot, so the right character appears in the right scene.
- Check names and events against the Bible passage and edit any line.
- Click **Finalise**.

### Finalise

- In **How would you like to start?**, choose:

- **Storyboard**: a still image for every scene, with no motion or lip sync yet.
- **Video Preview**: the first 25 seconds with full motion (and lip sync where your video has it).
- **Full Video**: every scene with complete motion (and lip sync where your video has it).

- Each option shows its credit cost. Click **Generate**. Choose Storyboard first, check each scene, then add motion.

When the video is ready, add captions from **Captions** in the storyboard top bar and click **Export**.

## Animated videos for Christian songs (Faith Music Video)

Open **Workflows → Faith Music Video** and follow its four steps: Music, Style, Concepts and Cast. At Concepts, pick or edit a concept that follows the story in the lyrics, such as "a shepherd boy watches over his sheep under the stars". See [Worship, Gospel and Christian music videos](https://help.atlabs.ai/en-us/article/worship-gospel-and-christian-music-videos-1tjt0es/) for every step.

No song yet? Make one with **Generate Music** ([app.atlabs.ai/music](https://app.atlabs.ai/music)).

**Made your song on Suno?**

1. Open your song in Suno.
2. Click **Unlock Audio**.
3. Click **Download Audio** and upload the file here.

Once the audio is unlocked, you can also paste the Suno song link directly.

### A series for the whole term

Save your characters in the first lesson. For later lessons, pick them from the **Character Library** tab at the Cast step, so Moses or Ruth look the same every week. Animated Video has no style step. If you want to choose the visual style yourself, use Script to Video, which has a Style step.

### Good to know

- Check every screenplay against the passage you are teaching. AI output can contain mistakes.
- Make the same story in another language with Translate in the storyboard's three-dot menu, useful for bilingual classes.
